DSK MANAGER PTFs

All PTFs listed here can be ordered from Kisco. If you see a PTF that you need for your installation, click on the E-mail link at the bottom of the page and let us know which PTF you need. It will be sent to you as an attached file along with a reply to your request. Once the PTF is downloaded, follow the instructions that came with Release 4 of DSK MANAGER to process the PTF package.

Kisco specifically recommends that PTF's be loaded sequentially to avoid conflicting program updates.

PTF Package: DMPTF013
Available Date: July 3, 1999

Recap:

This PTF corrects a problem with the registration of backup in the Tape Management display. Certain Master and Incremental backups were not getting properly registered.

PTF Package: DMPTF012
Available Date: May 10, 1999

Recap:

This PTF corrects an error message issued when doing library specific backups. An error stating that a library name was too long was issued intermitently.

PTF Package: DMPTF011
Available Date: April 30, 1999

Recap:

An error message was being issued by the Delete Old Objects feature when *MODULE objects were identified for delete.

PTF Package: DMPTF010
Available Date: February 3, 1999

Recap:

This PTF corrects a problem that can occur during a Master Backup. See the DSK MANAGER problem reports page for a description of the problem corrected by this PTF.

PTF Package: DMPTF009
Available Date: March 4, 1998

Recap:

This PTF will upgrade an existing DSK MANAGER installation from version 4.03 at PTF level DMPTF008 to the newly available version 4.04. All prior PTFs for version 4.03 must be applied first before ordering this PTF. See the DSK MANAGER latest updates page for a description of the enhancements with this new release.

Recap:

This PTF will upgrade an existing DSK MANAGER installation from version 4.02 at PTF level DMPTF007 to the newly available version 4.03. All prior PTFs for version 4.01 must be applied first before ordering this PTF. See the DSK MANAGER latest updates page for a description of the enhancements with this new release.

Recap:

This PTF will upgrade an existing DSK MANAGER installation from version 4.01 at PTF level DMPTF006 to the newly available version 4.02. All prior PTFs for version 4.01 must be applied first before ordering this PTF. See the DSK MANAGER latest updates page for a description of the enhancements with this new release.

PTF Package: DMPTF006
Available Date: May 17, 1997

Recap:

This PTF fixes a problem with the on-line object restore. Prior to this PTF, an incorrect form of the object restore command could be prompted for certain object types.

PTF Package: DMPTF005
Available Date: May 2, 1997

Recap:

This PTF corrects several minor problems with the restore process in DSK MANAGER. The process to restore user profile information has been improved and an easier prompt to provide the tape drive device name has been added. Certain error messages and other problems have been coded to provide an easier restore process. Changes are made for both individual object restore and for full backup restore operations.

PTF Package: DMPTF004
Available Date: April 24, 1997

Recap:

This PTF corrects a intermittent error messages issued during Master File backup and Incremental File backup. Error messages CPF3794 and/or CPF2952 were being issued. This PTF recognizes these error messages and now deals with them without halting the save operations.

PTF Package: DMPTF003
Available Date: April 14, 1997

Recap:

This PTF corrects an intermittent error messages issued during Master File backup when a prior backup does not complete successfully. The backup ends with error message CPF7301 and fails. At the point of failure, the backup tape is complete but no report is printed.
This PTF supersedes PTF package DMPTF002.

Available Date: March 8, 1997

Recap:

This PTF has been superseded by PTF DMPTF003 above.
This PTF corrects an intermittent error messages issued during Master File backup when a prior backup does not complete successfully. The backup ends with error message CPF7301 and fails. At the point of failure, the backup tape is complete but no report is printed.

Available Date: February 25, 1997

Recap:

This PTF corrects a problem that prevents the Restore function from displaying the contents of a backup set.
