SQUASH Problem Log
Problem Report Dated: May 19, 1998
Due to a change in OS400, SQUASH fails during member compression and decompression when
the system security level is set to level 40 or higher. Error codes MCH6801 and CPA0701 are
issued and the process halts with options C D I or R offered. Note: Taking the I option will allow
the process to complete but the member type will not be updated correctly; this must be done
manually.

Problem Report Dated: September 25, 1997
Customer reported that while using the SQUASH feature that scans and corrects source members
that contain imbedded X'00' and X'FF' characters, the corrected members lost their member type
designation in the source file. The illegal characters were removed and the source member contents
were correct.
