Kisco Announces Inaugural Richard C. Loeber Fellow

January 9 2024, Ridgefield CT - Kisco Systems is pleased to announce that Cameron Stewart of Oakley Transport has been selected as the first-ever Richard C. Loeber Fellow. "Cameron is a young guy with an inquisitive mind who has been working in IT for just a couple of years," says Justin Loeber of Kisco Systems. "Our selection committee liked his openness to learning and the way he self-started his career."

Cameron always thought he wanted a career in IT, but a stint pursuing a Comp Sci degree at University left him unsure. So he jumped on an opportunity for a "no experience needed" IT technical role at Oakley. That was over two years ago. "In these short two years I have learned so much more than I had expected, from basic troubleshooting, to networking, to IBM i administration," says Cameron. "I'm taking every opportunity to learn more about the technologies we use and the more I learn, the more I want to dive deeper into them."

Cameron was strongly recommended by the management at Oakley Transport, where he works as Lead Information Technology Technician. "We appreciate Oakley's enthusiasm for Cameron and the fellowship program," continues Justin, "and we look forward to partnering together to continue building Cameron's Career."

Oakley Transport prides itself on being the industry leader in food ingredient transportation, for quality, safety, driver appreciation, and keeping America fed. The family-owned and operated company enhances the customers' supply chain with over-the-road and dedicated transportation services in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. "This accomplishment reflects our dedication to customer satisfaction and the integrity of customers' products throughout the entire transportation process," says Cameron's manager, Julie Hall.

The Richard C. Loeber Fellowship from Kisco Systems is a program that partners with IBM i customers to develop high potential employees who are smart, curious and highly motivated but do not yet have all the experience or skills to build a career on the IBM i platform. RCL Fellows receive free IBM i training, a COMMON membership, free conference registrations and recognition throughout the IBM i community. The next fellow will be named in July, 2024. Candidates are encouraged to apply at any time.
